Smart Apple Savers Accounts (ages birth up to 12 years) and Future Investors (13 years up to 21 years) earn excellent dividends and teach the basics of thrift and the value of savings and it only takes $10.00 to get one started. Smart Apple Savers accounts are custodial accounts so the child is not allowed to conduct withdrawals. Future Investors accounts are convenience accounts which give the parent or guardian the ability to allow or restrict access to the account via ATM or OTC transactions for a child under eighteen.
