
Almeta Coaxum has served on the Supervisory Committee since 2009. Ms. Coaxum has been appointed Chairperson for the Committee's Strategic Planning session, which will commence in December, 2010. She also earned certification from the Credit Union National Association at the Supervisory Committee and Internal Audit Conference. Ms. Coaxum has 20 years of service with the City of New York as a Principal Administrative Assistant. Ms. Coaxum began her civil service employment working for Unemployment Insurance, and more recently worked with the Investigation Division at the Department of Citywide Administration. In June 2010, she was awarded a Certificate from the Quality of Work Life program for her achievements. Ms. Coaxum serves as the Campaign Captain of the Municipal Campaign Fund of New York as well as President Chair for the Malcolm X Blvd. Tenant Association. A Red Cross Volunteer, Ms. Coaxum was a recognized participant of the Volunteer Leadership Institute Conference held in January, 2010. A graduate of Malcolm-King College with an Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Ms. Coaxum is a native New Yorker and resides in Manhattan.
