C. Richard Wagner is a former Secretary, 4th Vice President, Assistant Secretary, and Assistant Treasurer of the Board of Directors, and has served on the board since 1983. Mr. Wagner was President of Local 1183 of the Communications Workers of America, which represents the employees of the Board of Elections in the City of New York, from 1973 until 2005. While President of Local 1183, Mr. Wagner kept the needs of all City workers in mind and was able to increase employee wages and benefits throughout his tenure. A member of MCU since 1976, Mr. Wagner was an integral part of returning MCU ownership to its members from New York State Banking Department control, and served on the MCU Supervisory Committee from 1980 to 1983. Mr. Wagner has never missed an MCU Strategic Planning meeting since 1983, as has attended all Association of Credit Unions and Government Affairs Conferences and/or Annual Meetings since 1984. Mr. Wagner just celebrated his 45th wedding anniversary with his lovely wife Carol on 10/10/10, and has two daughters, Amy and Cynthia, and two grandsons.
