Joseph Guagliardo has been serving MCU as a Supervisory Committee member and a Board member for over a decade. Mr. Guagliardo is also a former Chairman of the Supervisory Committee. He is a veteran of the NYPD, retiring in 1989, and is currently President and CEO of The National Council of Columbia Associations of Civil Service, a 50 year old not for profit organization. Mr. Guagliardo serves as Chairman of the DYCD/CAB, an active member of NYC anti-poverty funding, a lifetime member of the NAACP, and an advocate for children with disabilities in NYC schools. Mr. Guagliardo also has lectured throughout the country on the topics of governance, corporate communications and disaster recovery. A doctoral student at Columbia University with a Master’s Degree from Columbia, Mr. Guagliardo has also taken financial governance courses at Harvard, Oxford, and many other academic settings. He is also a certified fraud examiner and certified tram response team member. Mr. Guagliardo is a member of the NYPD Columbia association as well as the National Council’s ‘The Who’s Who of Italians’. A lifetime resident of Red Hook, Mr. Guagliardo and his wife Dr. Hilary Baldwin have two children.
