
Thomas E. Diana is a former Chairman of the Board of Directors, and has served on the board since 1984. Mr. Diana is currently the Chair of the Pension Plan of Trustees, and also serves on the Coordinating Committee, the Fiscal Committee, and the Bylaws standing committee. Since 1955, Mr. Diana held various positions with the NYCTA until his retirement in 1991 as a vice president of construction. In addition, Mr. Diana was president of the Transit Authority Chapter of the Civil Service Technical Guild AFSCME DC 37, representing Engineers and Architects in the Transit Authority. Mr. Diana is a past president of the Board of Directors of the Municipal Engineers of the City of New York, as well as founder and Chairman of the NYCTA's Employees' Charity Fund. Mr. Diana was president of the National Council of Columbia Associations in civil service and was a founder and executive director of the NYC Managerial Association. A graduate of the Pratt Institute in New York City, Mr. Diana and his lovely wife Patricia have three children and six grandchildren.
