MCU Proud Sponsor of 38th Annual Fun City Bowl Between New York’s Bravest, Finest

In the second leg of the MCU Sports Series between the NYPD and the FDNY, the Finest Football team defeated the Bravest Football team by a score of 17-7, before a crowd of 7,000 at Hofstra University on Sunday, May 23rd.

MCU presented $5,000 in contributions for various charities, including the Thomas Elsasser Fund, FDNY Family Transport Fund, Wounded Warrior Fund, and the NY Fire and Police Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund.  Retired FDNY Lieutenant and FDNY Football Treasurer Tom Narducci of the FDNY, although disappointed over the outcome of the game, had high praise for the support MCU provided to this year’s Fun City Bowl.  “Once again it was a pleasure to have MCU as a partner for the Fun City Bowl.  We know we can always count on MCU from the small things to the very large.  The monies we raised will go a long way in helping the charities we support.”  “Although we lost the game to the NYPD, we’ll be winners with our charities.”
