On Sunday, September 19th, MCU was a proud co-sponsor of the 11th Annual Mexican Day Parade. The blue and white MCU logo, along with signage from other co-sponsors, was proudly displayed on the Daily News parade float which featured Grupo Maravilla and proceeded through a sea of green, white, and red that was on hand to celebrate and honor New York's Mexican-American Community.
The parade, which was held on Madison Avenue from 26th street to 49th street, celebrates Mexico's independence from Spain, and filled the streets of New York with a procession featuring lowrider cars and motorcycles, parade floats, marching bands, and dancers as thousands of Mexican-Americans draped in Mexican flags and covered head to toe in the flag's colors joined in the celebration.
MCU was thrilled to take part in the festivities that honor both Mexico's independence and the Mexican-American Community in New York City. The beautiful day was made even brighter with the pride and joy displayed by all in attendance.
