Administrative Assistant


Primary Job Function

Provide administrative and secretarial support for the Vice President, Loan Operations.

Responsibilities

Open, sort and distribute incoming mail. Answer phones. Screen and route calls. Take message as needed. Place outgoing calls and arrange conference calls as requested. Maintain VP's appointment calendar. Make travel arrangements. Take and transcribe dictation. Compose routine correspondence upon request. Type and proofread a variety of material including letters, memoranda, reports and confidential data. Set up and maintain departmental files. Ensure security of confidential information. Update departmental forms, manuals and other material as needed. Manage departmental supply inventory. Oversee equipment maintenance. Prepare information and compile data regarding member complaints. Forward to appropriate departmental staff person. Perform other duties as assigned. Overtime as required.

Requirements

Some college preferred. Secretarial experience or equivalent secretarial training. Ability to take dictation, formal steno. or fast longhand. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft for Windows Applications. Typing 55 - 60 wpm.
