Some members have reported receiving a fraudulent e-mail message that appears to be coming from MCU.
The message says that restrictions have been placed on the member's MCU account and they must click on
a link in the message to login and verify their account and personal information. The link looks like
an official MCU Online Banking URL, which it is not. This message is an Identity Theft scam commonly
known as a Phishing scam. If you receive such an email, do not click on the link or respond to it.
Instead, notify MCU immediately.
Never click on links in e-mail messages that ask you to provide or verify your personal account
information. MCU will never contact you by email or telephone to ask for your personal information
(Account Number, PIN Number, Social Security Number, etc.). This includes requests for information to update,
confirm, re-activate or prevent de-activation of any of your accounts or credit cards.
If you think your MCU accounts have been compromised, report it to our Fraud Department by filling out and submitting
a
Fraud Investigation Form.
