MCU offers two accounts that give young people a lesson and a leg up on their financial futures. Both earn excellent dividends and teach the basics of thrift and the value of savings and it only takes $10.00 to get one started!
Smart Apple Savers accounts are designed for children from birth up to 12 years. They are custodial accounts which do not allow the child to conduct withdrawals.
Future Investors accounts are designed for teens and young adults ages 13 years to 21 years. They are convenience accounts that give the parent or guardian the option of allowing or restricting access to the account via ATM or OTC transactions for a child under 18.
