Barbara Kissner
Member
A senior technology executive with over 20 years of experience in cyber security, secure systems development, risk management, data privacy, governance and compliance, Barbara is currently Chief Information Officer at Segal, a leading benefits and HR consulting firm. She formerly held Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer roles at Tassat Group, Amalgamated Bank, International Fidelity Insurance Company and BankAtlantic, spearheading significant digital and business transformation projects at each firm. She has also held senior roles in risk management, business resiliency, and information technology, in addition to starting her own consulting firm specializing in operational risk management, technology transformation, cyber security, GRC, privacy, and GDPR in the financial services/insurance industry. She has contributed over 35 articles to Gartner publications on eCommerce, banking/retail automation, turnkey software systems, and information engineering.
Barbara earned an undergraduate degree in English Literature at Brooklyn College and an M.A. in Systems Administration at New York University, and is an Advisory Board Member at the School of Business at Mercy University, member of the of Advisory Committee for the Mercy University School of Business. She holds CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, CSQA, and CTE designations, and has been a ComputerWorld Premier 100 IT Leaders honoree.
