Deborah Silodor is a Supervisory Committee Member at MCU, working collaboratively with her team to ensure the credit union operates with the highest ethical standards and in the best interests of its members.

 

Deborah is an accomplished bank executive and legal professional. In 2007 Deborah joined the legal department at Amalgamated Bank in New York, which has deep roots in the New York union community. In 2015 she was promoted to Executive Vice President, General Counsel and served in that position for seven years. Deborah was part of the management team to acquire New Resource Bank and in the same year successfully completed the IPO to bring Amalgamated Bank public. Later Deborah was involved in creating the governance structure for Amalgamated Financial Corp., the first bank holding company that is a Delaware Public Benefit Corporation. During her time at Amalgamated, Deborah acquired deep knowledge in the areas of audit, bank finances, risk management, cyber security and bank regulations. Earlier in her career she was a commercial litigator at several firms and an enforcement attorney at the Federal Office of Thrift Supervision.

 

Deborah is a graduate of Georgetown University (B.A. in History) and New York University School of Law.
