Kelly Gerber serves as Chief Risk Officer at Municipal Credit Union (MCU), where she oversees Enterprise Risk Management, Vendor Management, BSA/AML, Information Security, Quality Control and Quality Assurance, Project Management Business Continuity Planning, and Incident Response.

Since joining MCU, Kelly has played a key role in building and maturing MCU’s risk management capabilities. She has established formal risk appetite and reporting frameworks, strengthened first-line control accountability, and enhanced oversight across the enterprise.  She has also led enterprise efforts to identify and mitigate emerging risks, including those related to digital banking, third-party relationships, and the evolving use of artificial intelligence.

Kelly joined MCU from Republic Bank in Philadelphia, where she served as Senior Vice President and Acting Chief Risk Officer. Prior to Republic Bank, Kelly served as Vice President of Compliance at Huntingdon Valley Bank and previously held various positions of increasing responsibility within Risk Management at Beneficial Bank.

Kelly earned her undergraduate degree in sociology from Rutgers University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and she holds a Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law. She also serves as a Director on the MCU Foundation Board of Directors.
