St. Francis College and MCU Expand Affordable Degree Access

MCU employees and their families will gain access to tuition discounts, dedicated admissions support and expanded transfer credit opportunities for St. Francis College undergraduate and graduate programs

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (September 16, 2026) — St. Francis College and Municipal Credit Union (MCU) today announced a new partnership that will provide MCU employees and their spouses and children with greater access to affordable undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

Through the partnership, St. Francis College will provide a dedicated admissions advisor to guide eligible MCU employees and their families through the application process. Eligible students may transfer up to 98 credits toward a St. Francis degree, allowing working adults and family members to build on prior coursework rather than start over.

The College will also offer discounted tuition for undergraduate and graduate programs, reducing the per -credit cost by nearly 25% based on 2025–2026 tuition rates.

The partnership comes as nearly 700,000 working-age New Yorkers have completed some college but have not earned a degree, underscoring the need for flexible and affordable pathways for working adults seeking to complete their education.
