Dedicated to empowering Bronx residents aged 18-25, Municipal Credit Union and The Bronx Community Foundation have joined forces. This partnership is part of the national Racial Economic Equity Initiative (REE), piloted by the Filene Research Institute. Our shared vision? To cultivate financial empowerment, eradicate inequity, and pave the way for prosperous futures throughout the Bronx.

Opportunities for the Future
The REE Initiative connects individuals aged 18-25 in the Bronx with the resources essential for securing a successful financial path. Our project introduces a fresh series of financial workshops specifically crafted to address the distinct needs and perspectives of the next generation of leaders from the Bronx.
Upon completing the series, you will have gained invaluable financial education and receive a certificate from MCU and BxCF. Furthermore, you will have access to internship and scholarship opportunities, setting the stage for your future success.

The Bronx Community Foundation (BxCF) is the first and only community foundation in the Bronx. It is dedicated to bringing resources to the borough, with a view to creating four pillars of sustainability: Community, Equity & Justice, Economic Security, and Health.
Filene Research Institute
The Filene Research Institute seeks to advance racial economic equity through the credit union system, using its Racial Economic Equity (REE), program to research, organize, and help implement real-world solutions for the unfairly disadvantaged.
