Board Members
Terryl Brown
Board Member
Terryl Brown is a Board Member at MCU, collaborating with other members of the Board to guide the overall direction of the credit union.
An accomplished legal professional, she currently serves as Vice President and General Counsel for Pace University, prior to which she was the Deputy Commissioner for Legal Affairs and Administration in the New York City Fire Department, after spending several years as a partner at Harris Beach PLLC. Prior to that, she served the state of New York as Counsel to the Attorney General and Chief Ethics Officer in the New York State Attorney General's Office, and Executive Vice President and General Counsel at the New York Power Authority. She also spent some years in the New York State Governor’s Office and the New York State Attorney General’s Office, where she held positions of increasing authority. Terryl has had significant public roles, serving as Chair of the New York City Fire Investment Board and New York City Fire Pension Board, as Trustee of the New York City Deferred Compensation Board, and Commissioner on the New York State Joint Commission on Public Ethics.
A graduate of Pace University (BA) and the University of Pittsburgh (JD and MBA), Terryl has also completed the Wharton School’s Advanced Finance Program and coursework at the Universiteit van Amsterdam, School of International Relations. She also has a long history of service, giving back to the community in both professional and civic capacities.
